Dell, the former #1 PC manufacturer has diversified and entered the mobile market. Joining the computer manufacturers Apple, Lennovo and others, Dell decided to reorganize and added a mobile division to their company, headed by Motorola’s former executive, Ron Garriques. There have been rumors of this change in Dell since 2007 but it was only this year that it’s confirmed. Dell Mini 3 is their first attempt for a phone and they said that their phone product will focus on developing hardware and software for communications devices of “various screen sizes.
Dell’s Mini 3 will only be available, first, in China. It is said to be a smartphone that runs an Android operating system and have great entertainment features. By the end of the year, the phone will also be available in Brazil. It wasn’t concluded that these phones will only be sold in these coutries but there’s a good chance that it will enter other countries especially the US.
