Research In Motion (RIM) has introduced a new handset. There are two BlackBerry Bold, a BlackBerry Torch and Torch are two versions of the release of a full touchscreen as well. What kind of specifications?

BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930

Research in Motion (RIM) introduced the BlackBerry five pieces at once to strengthen its product line. One of them is the mainstay of BlackBerry Torch 9850/9860, a full touchscreen smartphone with BlackBerry OS 7.

Torch touch-screen presence is so new effort to compete with RIM's rivalry in the touchscreen phone market, especially against iPhones and Android phones row. The first attempt with arguably the BlackBerry Storm does not work.

Both models use the 1.2 GHz processor with 768MB of RAM. Resolution 3.7-inch screen size reaches 480x800, which is still below the screen on the iPhone Retina 4.

Torch touch screen is equipped with a 5 megapixel camera complete with flash and the ability to record 720p high definition video. Unfortunately, there is no front camera for video calls.

In the design sector, 9850/9860 Torch slightly thicker than the iPhone 4, with a 11.5 mm thick compared to 9.3 mm. Both have 4GB of internal storage capacity can be expanded via microSD up to 32GB.


Compared to Storm, this series is increasing and might be able to counter some Android phone and iPhone. But with the presence of the iPhone 5 and a variety of new Android phones soon, probably Torch 9850/9860 will be missed.
